BOC Aviation has signed a purchase-and-leaseback agreement with Philippine Airlines (PAL) for two Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, marking the lessor’s first delivery of the widebody type. The aircraft, equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, are slated for delivery beginning December 2025.
“We are delighted to welcome PAL as a new customer,” said Steven Townend, BOC Aviation’s CEO and Managing Director. “This first A350-1000 delivery underscores our commitment to supporting the industry with latest-technology aircraft.”
PAL President Richard Nuttall said the addition of the A350-1000 is a key milestone in the carrier’s fleet-modernisation plans. “This investment aligns with our goal of operating one of the youngest and most fuel-efficient fleets in the region,” he noted, adding that the partnership with BOC Aviation will bolster PAL’s global competitiveness and support the airline’s network expansion.
