- The airline reinforces its commitment to punctuality, a key factor in ensuring the best travel experience and customer trust
Iberia ranked as the fourth most punctual airline in the world and the sixth in Europe in March, according to the ranking prepared by the international consultancy Cirium. The airline thus consolidates its position within the global top ten.
During March, 88.30% of the 15,899 flights operated by the Spanish airline arrived at their destination on time. This category includes airlines with the highest Available Seat Kilometres (ASK) in the market; specifically, they must rank within the top 10% of airlines worldwide by ASK and operate in at least three regions.
Ramiro Sequeira, Iberia’s Chief Production Officer, highlighted that this recognition, which positions the company as the fourth most punctual airline in the world, is the result of the joint efforts of the entire organisation. “Punctuality is not a coincidence, but the result of precise planning and the daily commitment of our teams. From operational areas to flight crews, ground staff and maintenance teams, everyone plays a key role in ensuring that each flight departs and arrives on time. This achievement also reflects our firm commitment to safety, operational excellence and the quality of service we provide to our customers. It also demonstrates the robustness of our flight programme.”
